Welcome Back! I must say, I miss writing. I never would have imagined that I will be back again. Six long, dreadful years have passed, and so much has changed. I can’t hardly believe that I am now in Singapore, writing this, when I first created this blog in Miami.
What to say? I am in awe of the changes that had happened this past couple of years. I have found myself laughing—also intrigued, re-reading all my old posts. I can’t believe the mindset I have early in my adult years. But, I must say, I still have that aloofness and curiosity about what kind of purpose I have here on earth.
Let me continue this series I started 6 years ago.
CURRENTLY:
WRITING:
I started writing in my diary regularly last year. It became my outlet—a place where I could let out all the feelings I’d been holding in, the ones I could never really get off my chest. I’m not a great communicator, and I struggle to express myself to others. I don’t usually share my problems, and I’ve never been good at reaching out to friends, even when I need them. I find it a burden—to myself—to tell them how I truly feel. In the end, I’m the one who suffers from all the bad decisions I make.
DRINKING:
I had a vitamin C drink because I am feeling under the weather. It’s been quiet a while now since I got sick. Whenever I start to feel sick, I immediately start to take medicine to prevent it from getting worse.
LISTENING:
Lately, I’ve found myself listening to a lot of Latin song. It all started because of Yerin Han, the lead actor from Bridgerton Season 4. I watched an interview of her where the host asked her about what song she’s been listening lately, and she said, “La que Puede, Puede” by Ca7riel and Paco Amoroso—and I have been listening it ever since. I also love “Die on this Hill” by Sienna Spiro.

THINKING:
Where do I begin? There’s so much going on in my mind right now. I can’t even begin to fathom the thoughts running through my head. But most of it is occupied by one question: should I finally do what I truly want—to travel?
To do that, I would have to quit my job. I’d have to pack up everything I’ve accumulated over three years of living here and walk away with nothing but a backpack. Which is something that I have always wanted to do.
EATING:
As I mentioned, I’ve been feeling under the weather, which is why I decided to cook tinola—a classic Filipino dish well known across Philippines. It’s one of the dishes I always crave when I’m sick. I ordered the ingredients through Foodpanda and cooked everything myself. The soup makes my body feel nourished and comforted.

This has been fun. I am excited doing this again. I’ll try to do this every sunday. My off days are unpredictable every week. Like, next week, I’m off on Friday and Saturday. I rarely go out nowadays. Only if I have plans, but, if not, I stay at home. I find my life pretty stagnant and boring. Hence, I want to do travelling again. Let see where the winds blow. Maybe I’ll find myself moving to another country this year. 🤞
Xoxo,
Maria 😘
